Kinshasa, 05 Aug-(ANA)-The first Emission Reductions Purchase Agreement (ERPA) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been signed in Kinshasa with a local Congolese firm, NOVACEL, reports say.
The World Bank says the project will use carbon finance to generate resources for health, education, and agro-forestry activities.
It will also trap an estimated 2.4 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) over the next 30 years. (ANA)
