Botswana introduces new banknote

Gaborone, 05 Aug-(ANA)-Botswana is to introduce a new 200 Pula banknote, the equivalent of $29.50, officials say.

The Bank of Botswana said the new 200 Pula will be introduced to ease pressure on the current 100 Pula.

The bank also said the portrait of President Ian Khama would replace that of his predecessor Festus Mogae on a 10 Pula bank note.(ANA)
