Boat heading for Cameroon capsizes killing 11

Eleven people are feared dead in Cameroon after a boat coming in from Nigeria capsized at sea on the coast of Cameroon.

The boat is said to have had 16 people on board. Five people were rescued after a distress call by fishermen who witnessed the incident.

This leaves at least 11 people missing or dead.

The boat is said to have left Nigeria Saturday but was caught up in a storm and the huge waves pushed the vessel towards a stone on which it crashed.

The four survivors are said to be taking refuge in Debunscha, in South West Cameroon. (ANA)
