 Africa summit and Strasbourg plenary on EU agenda This WEEK

 
BRUSSELS, 24 Nov. - (ANA) - An Africa summit with the EU in Angola, followed by an exhaustive MEP plenary session in Strasbourg is driving this week's agenda amid puzzled questions over latest US efforts to broker a Ukraine peace deal.
 
Largely absent is any discussion on the UN climate conference in Brazil, an annual exercise whose relevance seems fading away.
 
The EU appears to have seized the opportunity left by Donald Trump’s diplomatic feud with president Cyril Ramaphosa to rebuild its relationship with South Africa ahead of a two day G20 summit in Johannesburg which starts on Saturday.
 
A panel of leading economists is calling for the creation of an International Panel on Inequality to track and combat the widening gap between rich and poor — the proposal will be presented at the G20 summit in Johannesburg this weekend.   - (ANA) -
