Israel bombs Khan Younis despite affirming ceasefire commitment

ISRAELI OCCUPIED AND STARVED GAZA, 31 Oct. - (ANA) - Israel conducted a wave of overnight airstrikes on the city of Khan Younis despite Israeli claims on Wednesday that it had returned to a ceasefire following an overnight barrage that killed over 100 Palestinians on Tuesday.

At least 10 strikes were reported in the city, according to Al Jazeera, which added that casualty figures are yet to come in.

According to Haaretz, Israel also launched strikes on Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip in what the Israeli military claimed was an attempt to "remove an immediate threat."

Amid the strikes on Gaza, Israel has also bombed southern Lebanon, with an Israeli raid into the village of Blida killing a municipal worker.

Lebanese PM Nawaf Salam condemned the attack, calling it "a flagrant attack on the Lebanese state and its sovereignty."    - (ANA) -
