LONDON, 22 Sept. - (ANA) - British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has said violence in Sudan is worsening as drone warfare spreads.

 

He blamed both sides for developments that mean “the conflict is evolving in even more lethal ways”. 

 

“What was once a war concentrated around active frontlines, is increasingly being fought from the air, vastly expanding the deadly terrain,” he said at an event at the UN General Assembly in New York.

 

“It is a sobering fact that in the first five months of this year alone, drone strikes reportedly killed more than 1,000 civilians. Hospitals, markets, fuel depots, power stations and humanitarian supply routes have all come under attack.”   - (ANA) -
