WHO presents report on women’s needs

Geneva, 05 Nov-(ANA) The World Health Organisation, WHO, is launching   a report on Women and health: today's evidence tomorrow's agenda at its headquarters in Geneva on Monday 9 November.

Speakers will include Dr Margaret Chan, Director-General, WHO, and Dr Tonya Ngayo, Director, Department of Gender, Women and Health.

This report provides the latest and most comprehensive evidence available to date on women's specific needs and health challenges over their entire life-course.

It also includes the latest global and regional figures on the health and leading causes of death in women from birth, through childhood, adolescence and adulthood, to older age. (ANA)
