Young Moroccans trained in cyber activism

Rabat, 13 Aug-(ANA)-The 11th national campus for young activists organised by the Moroccan section of Amnesty International has ended at the Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane.

 

About 40 participants aged between 18 and 22, from different parts of Morocco, attended the training aimed at introducing young Moroccans to human rights culture and opportunities for cyber-activism.

Internet subscribers in Morocco grew from 168,000 in June 2005 to more than 840,000 this year, among them 8 million Web users and 127,000 members on social networking sites like Facebook. (ANA)
