Zimbabwe: The network fighting Mnangagwa’s attempt to stay in power

HARARE, 10 March. - (ANA) - A constitutional amendment bill seeks to enable President Emmerson Mnangagwa to remain in power without a vote until 2030. A group of lawyers, politicians, civil society and youth leaders are striving to stop that from happening.

Despite facing a hostile political environment characterised by unpatriotic labelling as ‘sell-outs’, a wide network of Zimbabweans continues to fearlessly oppose the proposed Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment No. 3 Bill, which will prolong Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) party rule.   - (ANA) -
