Trends for the next decade of agriculture
PARIS, 13 July. - (ANA) - For 20 years, the joint OECD-FAO Agricultural Outlook 2024-2033 has been the key global reference for medium-term prospects for agricultural commodity markets.
Over two decades, emerging economies have increasingly driven global agricultural market developments and are projected to continue to do so, but with regional shifts.
Urgent challenges, including climate change and food security, remain and require the advancement of sustainable and resilient food systems policies.
he OECD databases on agriculture constitute a unique collection of agricultural statistics and provide a framework for quantifying and analysing the agricultural economy.
This includes forecasts regarding the evolution of the main agricultural markets and commodities, detailed estimates of policy support, as well as indicators of environmental performance of agriculture.
Data concern both OECD countries and non-member economies. - (ANA) -
