EU states agree on UK data-sharing
BRUSSELS, 18 June. - (ANA) - EU states have agreed that UK standards are high enough to comply with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation and a separate law on data in criminal cases, enabling the free flow of information for businesses and law enforcement bodies in the wake of Brexit, Reuters reports.
The move, welcomed by business associations, follows similar EU data "adequacy decisions" on Argentina, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, and Switzerland. - (ANA) -
