George Floyd murder suspect released on bail

WISCONSON, USA, 08 Oct. - (ANA) - The former US police officer charged with the murder of unarmed black man George Floyd has been released on bail.

Court records show that Derek Chauvin posted a $1 million (£774,000) bond and was released on Wednesday morning.

Chauvin, who was filmed kneeling on Floyd’s neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds, is due to face trial in March on charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter.  - (ANA) -
