More than 80% of hospitalised coronavirus patients have neurological symptoms, study
CHICAGO, USA, 08 Oct. - (ANA) - A paper published in the Annals of Clinical and Translational Neurology observed 509 Chicago Covid-19 patients this past spring.
According to the paper, 82% exhibited at least one neuroligic symptom.
The most common of these symptoms were headaches and muscle aches.
"We are now looking to characterize the long-term neurologic effects of Covid-19 and the cognitive outcomes in patients with Covid-19-associated encephalopathy," said Dr Igor Koralnik, chief of neuro-infectious diseases and global neurology at Northwestern Medicine.-(ANA) -
