Twitter, Facebook and YouTube remove Trump’s false coronavirus posts as he again claims pandemic will ‘just go away’

WASHINGTON, 06 August. - (ANA) - Three US social media sites censured president Donald Trump’s claims that children were “virtually immune” to Covid-19, with Facebook calling the president’s post “harmful Covid misinformation”.

The comments were also deleted on Twitter, where the Trump campaign shared the same content and video with Mr Trump’s Fox & Friends interview on Wednesday, where those claims were made.

YouTube said it pulled down the same video with the president’s claims on children because it was ”Covid-19 misinformation”. Meanwhile, Mr Trump once again said coronavirus would “go away”, as White House coronavirus task force member Dr. Anthony Fauci warned that ”I don’t think we’re going to eradicate [coronavirus]”.   - (ANA) -
