Georgia governor's office seeks to block Atlanta mask mandate in court
Georgia governor Brian Kemp is headed to court to block the city of Atlanta's mask mandate, among other coronavirus restrictions. The lawsuit comes just one day after the governor signed a statewide order that explicitly bans cities and counties from enforcing mask mandates. “A better use of taxpayer money would be to expand testing and contact tracing,” said Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. “If being sued by the state is what it takes to save lives in Atlanta, then we will see them in court.” - (ANA) -
