China issues warning after discovering case of bubonic plague
BEIJING, 06 July. - (ANA) - Authorities in China have issued a warning after a city in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region confirmed a case of bubonic plague. Local media says the Bayannur patient - a herdsman - is in quarantine and in a stable condition.
The bubonic plague, caused by bacterial infection, can be deadly, but is treatable with commonly available antibiotics.
