Concern as Covid-19 cases surge in the US and China
WASHINGTON/BEIJING, 29 June. - (ANA) - The spread of the new coronavirus has taken a “swift and very dangerous turn” in the US and China over the last couple of weeks.

A number of US states are racing to reimpose lockdowns amid a new leap of coronavirus infections that have taken the total to more than 2.5 million – apparently triggered by the push to reopen the economy.

Meanwhile, China has reinstated a lockdown near Beijing, affecting around 400,000 people, after a surge in cases there.
