Morocco, Luxembourg to boost economic cooperation

RABAT 25 Sep (ANA) - Morocco and Luxembourg have met to discuss boosting bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

Luxembourg wants to intensify its cooperation with Morocco, Deputy Prime Minister of Luxembourg and Minister of Economy Etienne Schneider said at the opening of a forum entitled "Strategic Partners to Succeed in Africa and Europe."

Luxembourg seeks to benefit from Morocco's position as a gateway to Africa, he said, adding that both countries are willing to set up a joint commission which will act as a platform for dialogue, consultation and cooperation.

For his part, Moroccan Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, expressed the desire to develop a tripartite relationship between both countries and the African continent.

Morocco, with its strong cultural, economic and financial roots with African partners, is a privileged platform for developing quality relations with the entire continent, he added.(ANA)
