Explosion hits military unit in Russia's north: at least 2 killed, 15 injured - source

MOSCOW, 08 August. - (ANA) - Two people were killed and another 15 were injured, according to preliminary data, during an explosion on the territory of a military unit in the Arkhangelsk region, according to a security source.

"The explosion occurred in a military unit 30 kilometres from Severodvinsk. Presumbly, two dead and 15 injured," the source said.

Authorities in the Arkhangelsk region confirmed information about the incident, which happened in a military unit in the village of Nenoksa, according to the press service of the regional governor.

Emergency evacuation helicopters are ready to fly to the area where the incident happened, near the village of Nenoksa in the Arkhangelsk region; hospitals are ready to accept possible victims, the press service of the governor Igor Orlov said.  - (ANA) -
