MOGADISHU 14 May (ANA) - Secondary school students have been demonstrating in the Somali capital Mogadishu after the education minister postponed national examinations, saying test papers were leaked and sold via social media (see earlier post).

 

A total of  90 schools controlled by the government are affected.

 

Large parts of south and central Somalia are controlled by al-Shabab, who have imposed  education systems teaching  hardline Islamist doctrines.(ANA)
