Egypt's Suez Canal revenues rise to $468.7 million in January

CAIRO, 05 March. - (ANA) - Egypt’s Suez Canal revenues rose to $468.7 million in January from $451.9 million in the same month last year, the Suez Canal Authority said on Monday.

January’s figure was lower than December’s $471.8 million in revenue.

The canal is the fastest shipping route between Europe and Asia and one of the government’s main sources of foreign currency.  - (ANA) -
