 MEPs to check situation at borders with Morocco in Ceuta and Melilla

 
 
BRUSSELS, 26 Oct. - (ANA)  - Civil Liberties MEPs will visit next week the Spanish towns of Ceuta and Melilla to assess the situation regarding migration on both borders with Morocco.
 
From 29 to 31 October, the delegation will evaluate the security and respect for human rights at the borders, as well as the systems of reception and integration of migrants, paying particular attention to the situation of unaccompanied minors. 
 
They will meet members of the Spanish government, local authorities and representatives of the police forces. They will also exchange views with representatives of NGOs working with migrants and asylum-seekers, such as Melilla Acoge, , CEAR, Cruz Roja,  UNHCR and Frontera Sur. Finally, the group will visit La Purísima Minors Centre, in Melilla, and the immigration temporary stay centres (CETI) in both Ceuta and Melilla.  - (ANA) -
