BREXIT: More British MPs now back REMAIN
London 24 Jun (ANA) - The majority of Conservative MPs elected in the General Election do not want the UK to severe ties with the EU in the referendum last year, damning research has claimed. The Tories only gained a large number of target seats in Remain-backing Scotland, leading to suggestions the party is more flexible towards a softer Brexit deal. Conservative headquarters also appeared to block some anti-EU campaigners, including Daniel Hannan MEP, from becoming candidates. Financial Times analysis shows 176 of the 317 Conservative MPs now want the UK to stay in the EU.(ANA)
