Jet carrying 300 to Malaysia hits severe turbulence
Kualar Lumpur 7 May (ANA) - Panic broke out among terrified cabin crew on a jet carrying 300 people after they were thrown to the floor during severe turbulence. An air steward can be heard asking 'is he dead?' while his colleagues lie sprawled across the floor of the AirAsia X plane moments after the turbulence struck on a flight from Taipei, Taiwan to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Another frightened member of staff, lying among food trays sent flying by the force of the plane's moment, screams out while a second stewardess tells her: 'Don't move'. It comes just days after a separate turbulence drama, on an Aeroflot flight, in which 27 people - including three babies - suffered major injuries including suspected broken bones. In the latest incident, footage records the sounds of someone crying, and food and some utensils strewn about on the floor. Shocked crew members then gradually get to their feet and make a dash to reach seats after one of the team says: 'We need help to secure ourselves.' Others can be heard desperately clinging onto meal carts in the galley area of the Airbus A330. Footage of the incident, on Thursday, emerged on Whatsapp and has been widely shared across Asia.(ANA)
