DR Congo and Ugandan rebels clash
Kinshasa 10 Oct (ANA) - At least 10 people were killed on Sunday night in clashes between the army and suspected Ugandan rebels in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, according to local activists, AFP news agency reports. "Eight civilians were shot dead, a soldier was killed and a suspected ADF militant was also killed," local civil society chief Gilbert Kambale told AFP. The ADF, a Ugandan Islamist group opposed to President Yoweri Museveni's government, has been active in the region for two decades. The government and the UN have blamed the group for repeated violence in the region.(ANA)
