Morocco turns to Veridos for border control
RABAT, 23 March. - (ANA) -Veridos is to design and implement a nationwide border control system for Morocco, including all IT infrastructure.
The contract from the Moroccan General Directorate for National Security (Direction Général de Surêté Nationale - DGSN) covers land border crossings, airports and sea ports.
Veridos announced that it will provide stationary equipment for fixed border posts and 140 mobile systems for border control at various locations. It will also establish a data centre, a disaster recovery site and regional servers.
The project includes the VeriGO verification platform, which can be plugged into existing infrastructure and databases; VISOTEC Expert 600 e-passport readers with the VISOCORE Inspect capability which allows border control officials to verify documents optically and electronically; and e-gates for automated border control. - (ANA) -
