Gabon, Turkey sign agreement to boost bilateral cooperation
Libreville, 08 Jan - (ANA) - Gabon and Turkey yesterday in the Gabonese capital Libreville signed a protocol agreement on economic, commercial, cultural and technical cooperation. The agreement was signed by Gabon's Economy Minister Luc Oyoubi and his Turkish counterpart, Zafer Gaglayan, in the presence of the prime ministers of the two countries. Both countries expressed their desire for more cooperation in agriculture, livestock , fisheries, timber industry, tourism, mining, oil, energy, new information and communication technologies, housing, infrastructure and finance. The two countries also agreed to develop administrative cooperation between Turkey's Organization for the Development of Small and Medium size Enterprises (KOSGEB) and Gabon's ministry for Small and Medium Size Enterprises and Commerce. The first general agreement between Turkey and Gabon was signed on Sept. 21, 2000 in Libreville. While leading a strong delegation of about 300 people who included businessmen and journalists, the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Libreville on Sunday to begin a working visit to Gabon.
