 Abbas to visit Egypt on 11 January
Cairo, 2 Jan - (ANA) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is set to visit Egypt on 11 January to discuss reconciliation issues affecting his territory, Egyptian news agency, MENA, reported today.
Sakhr Bseiso, a member of Fatah central committee, said that Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amr extended the invitation to Abbas while visiting the West Bank city of Ramallah last Saturday.
Abbas will meet with Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi during the visit, Bseiso said. He also stressed the importance of forming a national unity government to oversee the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Palestinian territories. (ANA)
