Iran exported 40 million barrels of oil since US lifted blockade, Ghalibaf says
TEHRAN, 01 July. - (ANA) - Iran's top negotiator claims Tehran has exported more than 40 million barrels of oil since a US-imposed blockade on the Strait of Hormuz was lifted, after previously failing to export any crude for weeks.
Speaking on state TV, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the exports were made about 10 to 12 days after the blockade ended.
"From the day we effectively lifted the blockade until today, we have exported more than 40 million barrels of oil ... this happened in just a few days, maybe less than 10 or 12 days," he said.
"In the previous 40 days, we didn't export even a single barrel of oil. We were entirely caught up in this issue, dealing with the challenges to make this happen." - (ANA) -
