TEHRAN, 21 May. - (ANA) - Iran was responding to a proposal sent by the US, and discussions were under way in Tehran over its broader framework, details and confidence-building measures, Tehran’s Isna news agency has reported.

 

The proposal text has "narrowed the gaps to some extent", but further progress would require Washington to abandon what it described as "the temptation of war", the report said.

 

Isna also reported that the visit of Pakistani army chief Gen Asim Munir to Tehran was aimed at helping narrow differences and pave the way for the official announcement of an agreement. -(ANA) -
