WASHINGTON, 18 Sept. - (ANA) - Donald Trump's "rambling" remarks have sparked fresh concerns for his health. Speaking at the White House Rose Garden dinner on Thursday (September 17), the President recycled an old metaphor, two years after he'd last used it in a campaign.

 

While explaining that he'd signed an Executive Order to loosen restrictions on Federal lands and expand hunting and fishing access, the US leader appeared to go off-script.

 

Reflecting on the fact that there had been calls to make all boats electric, the 80-year-old said he'd asked: "So, if I'm in an electric boat and I see I'm going down and the water is pouring in, so I know I'm going to be electrocuted, but 5 yards away, there are sharks. Do I take the electrocution or do I go swimming with the sharks? You know what my answer was, I'll take the electrocution." Explaining that he "ended that nonsense" with electric boats, Trump said it was another mandate that he'd quashed to give Americans "the best of all worlds".

 

A moment that left viewers concerned, several questioned if the President's bizarre speech exhibited signs of dementia. "Same s**t, different day #dementiaDon, it's all just on a loop now," replied one. "Jesus. He's been telling this damned story for 10 years. He sounds just like my uncle, who has advanced dementia," remarked a second.

 

"My grandma has these word salad conversations with herself all the time. We just nod and smile," mused a third. Meanwhile, a fourth declared, "The dementia is rapidly advancing, and his bootlickers just laugh & clap," and a fifth asked: "Why does he talk about this scenario so much? Is there any purpose to it? Or, is he just rambling when he does it?"

 

Trump, whose cognitive and physical abilities have become a regular topic of discussion, has been accused of frequently falling asleep during meetings and public engagements.

 

He's also been spotted with bruising on his hands, swollen ankles, and more recently, what appeared to be a facial droop.

 

Earlier this month, Henry David Abraham, distinguished psychiatrist and Nobel Peace Prize winner, suggested that Trump is "more dangerous than ever" while speaking on SiriusXM. "If an airline pilot had half of the symptoms that the president of the United States has, we would not let him on an aeroplane; we certainly wouldn't want to fly with him," Abraham argued. The medical professional previously slammed the White House for "enfolding the president's health in a shroud of secrecy".

 

In spite of the ongoing speculation, the President's administration has denied that he is in anything but "excellent" health. Trump's doctor, Capt Sean Barbabella, stated in May that he had "strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and overall physical function" and was "fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State". - (ANA) -
