BEIRUT, 26 June. - (ANA)- Two people were killed and one was injured in an Israeli strike on the town of Mayfadoun, in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh district yesterday, the state-run National News Agency reports.

 

An Israeli strike also hit the town of Nabatieh Al Fawqa today, the agency added.

 

Hezbollah accused Israel of breaching the ceasefire and attacking civilians. Israel claimed Hezbollah fighters were the targets of the attacks.

 

Hezbollah described the attack as Israel's third "flagrant violation" of the ceasefire.

 

The Israeli military also said four of its soldiers, including two officers, were injured in a “close-quarter encounter” with a Hezbollah fighter in the south.  

 

Iran-backed Hezbollah accused Israel of committing a breach of the ceasefire after an Israeli drone strike killed two civilians and wounded a third in southern Lebanon. The group described the attack as Israel's third "flagrant violation" of the ceasefire to which "it has committed itself so far".  - (ANA) -
