 Cristiano Ronaldo confirms investment in Saudi-owned football club

 
RYADH, SAUDI ARABIA, 26 Feb. - (ANA) - Cristiano Ronaldo has acquired a 25 per cent stake in Spanish second-division club Almeria through his CR7 Sports Investments subsidiary.
 
The investment was confirmed by Brunswick Group, representing the Portuguese football icon, who moved to Saudi Arabia to play for Al-Nassr at the end of 2022.
 
Almeria has been under Saudi Arabian ownership for over six years, with Mohamed Al-Khereiji currently serving as president.
 
Ronaldo expressed his long-held ambition to contribute to football beyond playing, citing Almeria's “strong foundations and potential for growth”.
 
The financial specifics of the deal were not disclosed, and Almeria is currently positioned third in Spain's second division.   - (ANA) -
