 Nigeria’s Niger Delta to hold summit on environmental pollution
Port Harcourt, Nigeria, 23 Nov-(ANA)-A two-day summit on Environment, Economic Development and Human Rights in Nigeria’s Niger Delta opens on 25 with experts from the international community expected to attend.
The summit, to be held in Port Harcourt, the Niger Delta state capital, will chaired by Professor Hilary Inyang of the University of North Carolina in the US.
Keynote Lectures will include ‘environmental pollution of the Niger-Delta: Problems and Solutions.’
Other highlights include a public presentation and the launch of a book titled “Environmental Law-Human Rights and Globalization: Development and Dynamics.”
The summit is jointly organized by the International Institute for Humanitarian and Environmental Law (ISHERL), Nigeria’s Senate Committee on Environment and Ecology, and the International Society of Environmental Geotechnology in Washington. (ANA)
