Rwanda's army warns of "strong action" against grenade attackers

Kigali, 16 Aug-(ANA)-Rwandan's army has warned that “tough action” would be taken against perpetrators of recent grenade attacks in the capital Kigali.

 

Defense spokesperson Lt. Col Jill Rutaremara said:"The Rwanda Defense Forces (RFD) has new and stronger evidence that instigators of these terrorist acts are highly trained men who have established their base in some neighboring countries (of Rwanda). "

 

The latest grenade attack was reported on Aug. 11, when six people were killed and several others injuredin Kigali.

 

The attacks followed presidential elections on 9 August in which incumbent President Paul Kagame won by 93.08 per cent landslide. (ANA)
