Bus driver shoots Cairo workers

Cairo, 06 July-(ANA)-An Egyptian bus driver has shot dead six construction workers travelling in his vehicle, security officials say.

They told Egyptian media that the driver was taking the labourers to a site near Cairo when he stopped the bus, turned round and opened fire, also wounding several others.

The gunman was arrested. There is no word on a motive for the attack.

Egypt has suffered attacks from militants in the past, but political violence has abated in recent years.(ANA)
