ANC meets over Malema 'charges'
Pretoria, 20 April-(ANA)-The senior leadership of South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) is meeting to discuss charges against youth league firebrand Julius Malema.
They include promoting racism, sexism and intolerance, South Africa's Sunday Times newspaper says.
He has also defied a party order to stop singing the anti-apartheid struggle song "Shoot the Boer".
Boer is an Afrikaans word for farmer, which has become a derogatory term for all white people.
Reports in South African media say the ANC Secretary-General, Gwede Mantashe, has already written to Mr Malema informing him about the charges. (ANA)
