Niger radioactive hotspots ‘unacceptably high’

Niamey, 08 Jan-(ANA)-French nuclear company AREVA has confirmed that radioactivity in the city of Akokan in Niger was unacceptably high.

The announcement follows a report by the environmental campaign organization Greenpeace of radioactive hotspots in the uranium mining city Akokan. (ANA)
