Morocco and Jordan to supply phosphate to Indonesia
Jakarta, 01 Sept-(ANA)-Morocco and Jordan are to supply rock phosphate and potassium to Indonesia to meet the country’s need of the raw materials for its organic fertilizer industry.
Indonesia’s agriculture minister Anton Apriyantono saidthe supply was important as both items were the raw materials for SP-36 and NPK Pelangi fertilizers as an alternative for single fertilizer use.
“Until now we have not had the natural source of phosphate and the two countries are the world’s biggest producers. Morocco even controls 40 percent of phosphate trade in the world. Its supply to Indonesia is still a minimum,” he said after visiting Morocco, Tunisia and Jordan from August 23-31.
The minister said cooperation with Morocco would also include exports by Indonesia of vaccines, animal medicines, spices to that country. (ANA)
