Microsoft empowers Nigeria teachers

Abuja, 10 Aug-(ANA)-IT giant Microsoft has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nigeria's ministry of Education as part of efforts to expand its corporate activities in Nigeria.

 

The agreement is aimed at training teachers from all levels of education to deliver up to date digital literacy and technology curricula in schools across the country.

“This agreement will create a learning community of teachers who are able to deliver the studies through effective information and communication technology training to other teachers and students,” Nigerian minister of State for education, Hajia Aisha Dukku, said.

The Minister said Microsoft have been in partnership with the ministry of education in other educational support projects including Innovative Teachers Forum Awards,  Learning and Training program for enhancing the capacities of teachers across Nigeria.(ANA)
