LONDON, 13 June. - (ANA) - Last week TheCityUK launched the 2026 edition of its ‘Key facts about UK-based financial and related professional services’ report. The report makes clear the significant role UK-based financial and related professional services make to UK economic activity.

 

The data highlights that the industry is an important source of economic support across the UK regions and nations and in output terms, contributed around £11 in every £100 of economic output generated in the UK in 2025 (£290bn overall). It also remains a major national employer, with almost 2.5 million people in employment across the country in 2024, accounting for 7.5% of total UK employment with two thirds of these jobs based outside London.   - (ANA) -
