Nairobi, 08 July-(ANA)-Suspected kidnappers being held by police in Nairobi are tol be subjected to a series of identification parades.
The police have called on people who may have been abducted before to turn up and find out if their kidnappers are among 13 suspects in police custody.
There has been an upsurge of kidnappings since January, but the majority of the cases have not been reported.
Relatives have been opting to pay ransom demanded by abductors, who threaten to kill their victims if they involve police.
Five of the 13 suspects are due to be charged for six counts of violent robberies, murder and for the kidnap of a school boy. (ANA)
