Lusaka, 18 June-(ANA)-Zambia's President Rupiah Banda has restored to government a minister at the centre of a graft row, after she won a court appeal against findings that she had breached the constitution.
Dora Siliya was forced to resign as transport and communications minister in May following a public outcry, after a tribunal headed by a Supreme Court judge ruled against her.
It found she had breached the constitution by awarding RP Capital of the CaymansIslands a $2 million contract to value the assets of the state-run telecoms firm, Zamtel Ltd.
Banda reappointed her as education minister after she won a high court appeal, a decision analysts said may undermine efforts to fight corruption.(ANA)
