Mo Salah says he wants to stay at Liverpool until retirement

LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND,, 24 Oct. - (ANA) - Egyptian football ace Mohamed Salah has said that he wishes to see out the rest of his career at Liverpool, where the striker has played since 2017.

Salah’s remarks come amid speculation over his future, with his current deal with the English side due to expire at the end of next season.

His current Liverpool deal runs out at the end of next season.

"It doesn't depend on me, but if you asked me I would love to stay until the last day of my football [career]. It's not in my hands, it depends on what the club wants," Salah told Sky Sports.

"At the moment I can't see myself ever playing against Liverpool. It's hard, I don't want to talk about it, but it would make me really sad,” he added.

Since joining Liverpool, the 29-year-old has scored 137 goals in 214 games, becoming a key first team player for the Reds.

The Egypt forward’s next outing with Liverpool will see him face Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Liverpool currently sits in second place in the English Premier League, with Salah having scored 12 goals so far this season.  - (ANA) -
