Malaysia reserves stand at 103.3 bln USD

 
KUALA LUMPUR 22 Oct (ANA) - Malaysia's central bank, Bank Negara, said Tuesday that its international reserves stood at 103.3 billion U.S. dollars as of October 15 this year.
 
The reserves were slightly higher when compared with 103 billion U.S. dollars as of September 30.
 
The central bank said in a statement, the reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.6 months of retained imports and is 1.1 time total short-term external debt.
 
The international reserves consist of 96.7 billion U.S. dollars in foreign currency reserves, 1.1 billion U.S. dollars in International Monetary Fund Reserves Position, 1.1 billion U.S. dollars in Special Drawing Rights, 1.9 billion U.S. dollars in gold and 2.5 billion U.S. dollars in other reserves assets.(ANA)
