STRASBOURG, France 11 Dec (ANA) - Two people are reported to have been injured after shots were fired in the eastern French city of Strasbourg, police say.

 

Security officials have cordoned off the area and trams have been stopped, according to reports.

 

The incident is said to have happened close to a Christmas market in one of the central squares, Place Kleber.

 

One report citing the French fire department said one person had been killed, but this was not confirmed.

 

Regional authorities confirmed an "ongoing incident" in the city but gave no details.(ANA)
